The six
- The wagering multiple, and whether it applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus. The second form doubles the requirement from the same headline.
- The maximum win from bonus funds, which caps what can be withdrawn regardless of what the balance reaches.
- The maximum stake while a bonus is active, usually small, and exceeding it can void everything won.
- Game weighting, which decides whether live tables count in full towards wagering or at a fraction.
- The withdrawal hold period, the ceiling on how long a payout may be held while under review.
- The dormancy rule, which says what happens to a balance in an account that goes quiet — the clause nobody reads and some people meet.
How to read them quickly
Use the browser's find function on the words wagering, maximum, weighting, dormant and withdrawal. Five searches cover all six clauses on almost every site in this field, and the whole exercise takes about two minutes.
What a well-written document looks like
Figures printed as figures rather than described in sentences. Bonus terms in one place rather than spread across three documents. A hold period stated as a number of days. None of that makes an operator generous, but all of it makes the operator checkable, which is a different and more useful property.
What to do with what you find
Compare the products, not the headlines: bonus times multiple on each site under consideration, and the hold ceiling beside it. Two numbers per site, directly comparable, and they will usually order a shortlist differently from the way the marketing does.
More on how any of this works
The rest of how any of this works is below, each page built around one question rather than around a template. The reasoning behind the order of every list here is on the method page, the twelve entries are in the casino index, and the arithmetic that all of it rests on is in the learn section.
Wagering, worked through
The whole of a bonus's value is one figure times another. Here is the arithmetic in full.
House edge and RTP
What the percentage describes, what it does not describe, and why tonight is not covered by it.
What triggers a document request
Document checks are not random. Four things set them off, and three of them are avoidable.
The three stages of a payout
Only the last stage is the blockchain. The hours a player feels come from the two before it.
Checking a licence yourself
